Message from Mrs. Runnels

Good Afternoon SACBS Families & Friends,

We had a great third week of school! Our students are getting the hang of their procedures and enjoying their classes. Thanks to all of you for working collaboratively with us as we navigate through this ever changing school year.

A few reminders:

  • We start morning prayer at 7:45, please make sure that your child is at school by this time. The circular drive doors close at 7:45 so that everyone can be ready for prayer. Our students are ready to start classes at 8:00a.m. sharp, to maximize time for their academic learning.

  • We have a 12:00 noon early dismissal day on Friday, Sept. 3rd, with no aftercare. This is one of the diocesan early dismissal days, as many families travel for the Labor Day holiday.

  • Please attach your family name tag on your car visor or mirror so that it is visible during car line pick up. Many people hold it up for Ms. Rose to see and call the student, but then put it away. The teachers who are helping load students in the car line still need to see the names to ensure everyone gets to their appropriate cars.

  • Parent Portal Log in information was sent to everyone's email last week. The Parent Portal is mainly used for parents (1st - 8th grade) to keep abreast of your child's grades. This way, progress report week's grades are not a surprise. If you can't find that email or need the information resent to you, please contact Ms. Ashly at or call the school office at 409-832-3486.

  • Our teachers' main source of communication is through REMIND. Please make sure that you're signed in to your respective classes and groups.

As we prepare for our upcoming week of school, please continue to pray for all of the people who will be affected by Hurricane Ida. We will reach out to schools that may be impacted by this storm to help them in whatever way we can. We thank God for sparing us from this hurricane.

We are truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful school community. Each of you plays a large part in the culture of our school community, and I thank you for making it a positive one. Let's continue to show compassion to each other as we strive to be a model of Jesus Christ.

God Bless,

Mrs. Runnels
