October 16th: Pink Out Odenville Day - Wear PINK and raise awareness for Breast Cancer
October 19th: E Learning Day - No students this day
October 21st-23rd: Pre-K Teacher Conference/Pre-K Students will not attend school on these days.
October 21st: Bus Driver Appreciation Day
October 22nd: Report Cards Delivered
October 30th: Students can wear school appropriate costumes - 2nd Grade students must still wear mask
E Learning Day
Parents, students, and staff of Odenville Elementary School,
We will be implementing an E-Learning Day on Monday, October 19th. On this day, traditional school will not be in session. All students will be provided a assignment to be completed from home. The assignment will be a handout of review skills that your child has covered during this 9 weeks.
This day follows the 1st grading period and will allow time for progress monitoring and parental meetings. We are informing you now so that you have time to plan accordingly. Construction Zone
Please remember our front lobby in under construction. Please use Burgess Drive (road that runs by the post office) to drive to our back OES parking lot where you will see our help desk window that is located under the tent. Please come to the tent for assistance. We have included a picture below.
1st and 2nd Grade Grading Plan
- GOLD: 60% of the overall grade is a reflection of your child’s achievement on assignments designed to measure mastery of the content standards.
- SILVER: 30% of the overall grade is a reflection of your child’s achievement on practice assignments as he / she is learning the content
- BRONZE: 10% of the overall grade is a reflection of your child’s dedication to completing each homework and classwork assignments.

Caroline Knouse, 1st Grade Teacher
I grew up in Birmingham where I graduated from Spain Park High School. I then attended and graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Roll Tide!! In my free time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my black lab, Winston! I enjoy reading, playing tennis and going to the beach! I love Diet Dr. Pepper and Sour Punch Bites!

Due to COVID safety precautions, visitors will be limited and must have an appointment.
Dropping Off Items
If you are dropping an item off for your child, please leave it on the table that is located outside the back parking lot lobby doors. Please put a sticky note with your child’s first and last name on it if your child’s name is not on it. Use the buzzer or call us at 629-6406 to let us know you dropped an item off.
