The Pawsome Print
December 18, 2020
Dear Pawsome Loring Families,
Holiday Community Activity
Flu Vaccination Requirement
This is a reminder that the Massachusetts Flu Vaccination Requirement requires that all students provide documentation that they have been vaccinated by December 31, 2020. Students who have not provided this documentation will not be able to enter any school building. Students who are fully remote are also subject to this requirement. Please email proof of the your child's Flu shot to Nurse Cirillo.
A Pawsome Farewell
We have three Pawsome educators that have retired from Loring School. Please join me in giving them a Pawome Farewell as they move on from Loring School.
Susan Graham
Susan has been a fabulous assistant at Loring for 16 years. She worked in grades K-4 supporting our students in various ways. Susan mostly worked as a special education assistant and really loved the position and all of the students she has worked with. Before Loring, Susan was a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Susan is looking forward to retirement but knows that she will miss all of the students and teachers she has worked with over the years.
Diane Irvine
Diane has enjoyed teaching in the Sudbury Public Schools for the past 32 years and at Loring for the past 20 years. It was especially meaningful for Diane as she was a product of the Sudbury Public Schools.
Celeste Morin
Celeste has been a dedicated special educator for 33 years and at the Loring School for the last 11 years. She has worked in all grades, k-5 over the years. Celeste Morin will truly be missed.
Office Al Hutchinson
After 31 years with the Sudbury Police Department, 13 years working with SPS and 6 years as the school resource office, we say goodbye to Officer Hutchinson. Whether it is filling in for a crossing guard, teaching the 5th grade STARS program or just walking the halls of Loring, Hutch has been an integral part of our school. Arriving with a smile and a kind word or joke he will be missed by both staff and students alike.
All of these Pawsome Educators have made an impact on countless students. We thank them for the years they spent at Loring and wish them nothing but the best in their upcoming retirement.
A Message from the Loring Library
Loring now has access to the Massachusetts Library System (MLS) Commonwealth eBook Collection. This collection has eBooks and audiobooks students may use at school or at home. Students will use the same logins and passwords they use for school to access the collection.
To access the collection, go to:
https://soraapp.com/library/masslibma
Then select: Sudbury Public School District from the dropdown menu.
Have fun and please let me know if you have any questions!

Family Feedback Survey
Here is the link to the second family survey that Brad Crozier sent out on Monday. The district will use the information collected and the data from our first survey to measure the effectiveness of each of the learning models. The survey will close on December 23rd.

Loring Core Values
At Loring School, we are PAWSOME because we show our Core Values! These values are part of everyday life at Loring and reinforced in the classroom, on the playground and all around school. Students are taught the meaning of each word and how they make us better students and citizens.
Respect ~ Responsibility ~ Caring ~ Best Effort
The Loring Pledge
The Loring Pledge is said every morning during announcements. Loring students embody our pledge and we hope this stays with them not only when they are at school but home as well.
