Remember the Dead - November 11, 2015
FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
The school continues to focus on the Corporal Works of Mercy. During November we have been remembering the dead. A bulletin board near the office displays the names of those who are being remembered. Students and teachers submitted these names. It is a simple and beautiful way to remember the lives of our loved ones.
The Salvation Army, Center of Hope, was very appreciative and thankful of the items delivered to them last week. Thank you for supporting our school theme this year.
Today we remembered our veterans. The fourth grade class provided that remembrance during mass with a communion reflection. They also recognize the veterans who celebrated mass with the school that morning. We are thankful for the service of our veterans.
Our music teacher, Miss Hirsch, was admitted to the hospital this week. We ask for your prayers for her healing. At this time we do not know what is causing her sickness, but tests are being run. Because of her absence from school, little progress has been made on the annual advent program that is scheduled for just three weeks from now. A decision has been made to cancel our annual Advent Program on Thursday, Dec. 3. This was a difficult decision and I thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for your continued support of our school. May God continue to bless your family with grace and mercy; good health and safety.
