It's Show Time
I want to send you all a special message in regards to our theatre season this year. Our 7th-grade class will be attending North's fall production of You Can't Beat The House on November 16th. Payment for this show is added as a student fee. Tickets are $5.00.
*Our 8th-grade class will do this for the spring musical.
Our 8th-grade class will be seeing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on December 15th put on by our very own 8th-grade students. This is the first year we have an advanced class for our jr. high theatre, where they are actually putting on a show for their peers and our community. We will charge students $5.00 for this as well. We look forward to doing this show every year for our 8th graders.
Please login to Infinite Campus and pay the $5 admission fee for your student to attend the show this season.
Here are descriptions of the upcoming shows:
- You Can't Beat The House: Two minor-league burglars have really met their match this time, it seems. They decided on a house only to find, after managing to get into the place, that it's up for sale and before they can leave, the prospective buyers, show up. Oh, yeah! The place, it turns out, is haunted! This screwball comedy is one wisecrack after another.
- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdman's collide with the Christmas story head on!

Holiday Assistance
Dear Families,
The holidays are quickly approaching along with all the wonderful memories made during this special time of the year. The holidays are an enjoyable time with family and friends, however, that does not mean that they are not stressful! I realize some families may need some extra assistance providing a more memorable holiday for their children. Pickerington Schools are teaming up, once again, with the Violet Township Fire Department to help provide some holiday assistance for families in need during this holiday season.
For those out and about during the holiday season, you may see big red boxes throughout the community and in the schools. If you would like to donate a new toy/gift for the holiday season it can be placed in the big red boxes. If you would prefer to donate in other ways, please let me know.
If you would like a request form for holiday assistance this year, please contact one the school counselors at sarah_geiger@plsd.us or jp_oehrtman@plsd.us or 614-830-2200. The request form will then be provided to you, only one per household please. This form is handled in a confidential manner; however, the information will be shared with local agencies. More details will be shared with those families requesting holiday assistance. The forms must be turned into a Pickerington school counselor by NOVEMBER 20th, 2017.
