Parent/Teacher Conference Information
The schedule for parent conferences is the same as last year. In order to provide a program that accommodates our parents while minimizing the disruption to the academic and extracurricular needs of our students, we will be scheduling all of our conferences on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. This day will be devoted exclusively to Parent-Teacher Conferences. As noted on the calendar, no students will be in attendance on this day.
Conference Times: 12:30 to 4:00pm and 5:30 to 8:30pm
There are a few teachers that are piloting an online teacher sign-up. If your child has let you know that one of their teachers is part of this pilot, you can sign-up by going to the New Hyde Park website and signing up there.
During this parent visitation program, teachers have been instructed to introduce themselves to you, provide a brief overview of the progress of your son/daughter, and make arrangements for in-depth conferences in the future, if a follow-up meeting is needed. Please do not engage teachers in lengthy discussions during this “Open House” time. It is imperative that teachers adhere to this five-minute time frame.
The counselors, librarians, assistant principals and I will be in attendance to greet you and answer your questions. We look forward to meeting you.
