Health Education

The students who are enrolled in PE class have begun the comprehensive health portion of the class. If you would like your student opt-out of the contraception and reproduction portions of the class you will need to sign and return the opt-out letter. Letters were sent home in February. If you would like another copy of the letter, your child can print it from the google classroom site, or you can email

Summer Session

We have not worked out all of the details yet, but I wanted to communicate with families as I know summer planning is well underway.

We will be able to offer IDS 109 to rising juniors who did not take it during their sophomore year. Additionally, we will be able to offer ACCUPLACER support to students who are rising sophomores, and who have not met eligibility for TTC by the end of their freshmen year in the area of Writing and/or Reading Comprehension.

The sessions run from June 10 - 27, 2019, and meet on M, Tu, W, Th of each week with a release time at 1:00 or 1:30. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

We will reach out to families with more specific details as they emerge.

Early College High School Analytics Project

Students will be completing a survey over the next few weeks so that we can gain a greater understanding of student perceptions, feelings about ECHS, and ways to improve/grow our school. participation in the survey is completely anonymous and confidential. Teachers, parents, schools staff, school administration, and other students will not know how individual students answer the questions. Results will be used to inform our practice and ensure those practices are crafted around our students' beliefs and experiences.

9th graders are heading to a Riverdogs game to enjoy a stress-free day and have fun on April 17th. Students are eligible to attend if they meet all of the criteria:

1) They have less than 5 unexcused absences for the semester.

2) They have no more than 1 office managed referral.
