Drug and Alcohol Abuse Hotlines

Rachel Stubbs

Why are hotlines so important?

Drug and Alcohol Abuse hotlines are so important because they immediately put people with abuse problems on the phone with someone. It gives people a way to talk about their problems in a safe environment and without being face-to-face with someone. They can get the help they need in a timely manner.
When you call a hotline a person who is well trained will answer the phone. They'll coach you through the things that you're struggling with and encourage you to get further help. Calling a hotline can be a huge step on the road to recovery.
