Wow! It's hard to believe that January is at an end! We are half way through the year and these kiddos are doing an awesome job :)
We are working on our
sight words and sight word motions,
writing sentences from pictures,
reading our latest Jack and Annie adventure in the Magic Tree House series
Finding patterns with shapes and in music
Understanding what it means to share
and Polar Bears!
We are in need of classroom supplies:
Lysol cleaning wipes
craft supplies like buttons, beads, feathers and glue sticks

Welcome back from a short Winter Break! I hope you all enjoyed a little extra time off :)
This week we will be talking about Penguins, The Chinese New Year and Counting By Tens.
Our sight words are I, in, is, and it.
We will also be unscrambling sentences using pictures.
We will talk about sharing and emotions and making crafts using recycled materials.

I hope everyone enjoys their day off in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day! As we return back to school on Tuesday we will jump right back into work on our sightwords, counting by 10's and all things having to do with Winter!
We are asking that you please send in extra clothes for your child that are weather appropriate. We are sending home any warm weather wear that we have here so please check your child's backpack.
We would also appreciate any donations of hand sanitizer, Ziploc bags and Lysol/Clorox wipes.

Its a Winter Wonderland in our classroom - even if we will reach close to 70 degrees by this weekend, lol!
We have been learning about snowflakes, snowmen, and snow owls this week! We are learning the sightwords: help, here, and I. We are reviewing patterns, number words and one to one correspondence. We are also talking about having good manners, being kind to one another and what to wear when it is COLD outside!

Welcome back!
I hope everyone had a terrific holiday break and is enjoying the New Year!
We have had a terrific first week back at school. We have been learning about Snow! in preparation for the potential winter weather predicted for our area this weekend. We have made snowflakes and snow owls to decorate our room like a winter wonderland.

We will be learning about England, South Africa, Australia, Italy, France,
the Who in Who-ville...just to name a few!
We will also continue working on sight words and writing sentences. We will also focus on patterns during math.

Grinch Party !

watch the movie too,
have pizza to eat, and wear our pajamas – but not ones with feet!

Hello Families!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! This week we begin to travel the world as we learn about holiday traditions from Canada, the USA, Hawaii, Brazil, and Mexico! Our sight words for this week will be: away, big, blue, can, and come. Our Letterland letters for the week are Ww,Xx, Yy and Zz.
Our Christmas Cheer can food drive also starts this week, the class that collects the most cans wins!
This week the Santa Shop opens as well! If you would like for your child to purchase items at the Santa Shop, please send money in an envelope with names of who your child should shop for.
