MAP Testing
MAP testing for 4th grade is Tuesday, September 25th. Please be sure to have your students here by 8:00 on those two mornings! Thank you for your help with this!
W.I.N. Time (What I Need)
Last week, our 3rd and 4th grade students piloted this wonderful program. It is off to such a great start and we are so excited about how this time of the day will positively impact student learning. Students rotated to different classrooms to work on specific skills from 8:00-8:30.
This week, our 1st and 2nd grade students will begin their W.I.N. time! This is a great time for students to work to improve or enrich skills. They also will have this opportunity to have some time for silent reading. Research shows that when students are given an allotted time to focus on reading to themselves or to a partner, they improve their reading skills.
We will begin the transition to W.I.N. at 7:50 every morning. Please be sure to have your kids to school by 7:50 so that they will not miss out on this AMAZING opportunity for intervention, reinforcement, and enrichment!

Grandparents'/Grandfriends' Day!
We know that not all grandparents will be able to make it during this time. If this is the case, please let your child's teacher know in advance if someone else will be eating with your child so we know who will be in our building. If your child will be checking out, make sure to send a note with your child if that person is not on the checkout list! If a student is checked out, they will be counted absent.
Grandparents'/Grandfriends' Day forms will be coming home soon! Please turn them in as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly!

Back Car/Walkers
If you walk to meet your child in the back car area to get them and walk them home, you must have a car tag or a driver's license to identify yourself. You will be asked for these for identification purposes. This is the same procedure that we would take if you were in a car in order to ensure the safety of our students. Thank you for your cooperation with this!

Morning Drop-Off HELP!
The front entrance should only be used for those few times that you need to bring your child into school.
Other Car Rider Reminders
In order to keep our students safe and to help car rider line run as efficiently as possible, please help us by doing the following:
- Please stay in your car at all times. We have duty staff that will help students get in their cars if needed.
- Please pull all the way up to your spot where your child is standing. This helps all the cars behind you pull to their correct location as well.
- Please be patient. During the first couple of weeks, we have several that are learning how to be a car rider as part of their new routines. It will soon be a "well-oiled machine"
- If you do not have your car tag, you will be asked to show ID.
We appreciate your help with this!
