Homecoming Week Starts Sunday!

Argyle High School's Homecoming Week is almost here! The homecoming festivities begin Sunday, Oct. 17 with the AHS hall decorations.

The HOCOfest Community Pep Rally and Carnival will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Argyle Middle School. The carnival will include game booths that will be in the parking lot directly in front of the AMS fieldhouse. Games and food will be available and the roadway will be blocked off. Parking will be available near the indoor facility, next to the tennis courts and the south end of the front lot.

The pep rally will begin at 7 p.m. at Eagle Stadium. Be sure to attend to hear the introduction of the Homecoming Court. The event will include the Eagle band, cheer, Majestics and the Eagle football team.

Introducing This Year's Homecoming Court!

The Argyle High School Homecoming Court 2021 will be introduced at the HOCOfest Pep Rally at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Stadium. This year's Queen & King will be announced at halftime of next Friday's game.

Argyle ISD Celebrates National Principals Month

During October, Argyle ISD is celebrating its outstanding campus principals. This provides an opportunity for staff, parents and students to share their gratitude to our campus leaders for the work they do every day leading our Eagles.


We are thankful for these five Eagles who lead, guide and inspire students and staff on their respective campuses. Today, we highlight Hilltop's Dona Lumsden and West's Renee Funderburg with a few of their favorite things and fun facts about them!

Eagle Band Does It Again! Grand Champion

The Argyle Eagle Band continues to shine. The defending Class 4A state champions earned Grand Champion for the second consecutive competition - this time at the Sounds of Springtown Marching Contest. Competing against 20 bands, AHS won all Class 4A awards during the prelims (Percussion, Color Guard, Visual and Music).

In the finals, the Eagles won Outstanding Percussion, Outstanding Music and were named overall Grand Champion. The top five bands were:

2. Fossil Ridge HS

3. Arlington HS

4. Brewer HS
5. Kennedale HS

Students Off Monday, October 18

Argyle ISD students will be off on Monday, Oct. 18. This will serve as a teacher conference day for elementary level teachers and professional development day for secondary level teachers.

Come See The New Argyle High School!

The Argyle ISD community is invited to attend the Argyle High School Phase II ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 6-8 p.m.

The event will include a brief ceremony to start the event and student-led tours of the campus will follow. This will provide a great opportunity for parents, community members and students in Argyle ISD to come visit this beautiful new campus located in Canyon Falls.

AMS Seeking Career Day Volunteers

If you would like an opportunity to volunteer in Argyle ISD, here's a chance. Argyle Middle School is seeking professionals to speak at career day. This event is dedicated to parents and members of our community sharing more about their professions. If you are interested, click this link to sign up to speak. This commitment also requires filling out a volunteer form with Argyle ISD.

Career Day will be held Friday, Jan. 21.

Slime Time at Hilltop Elementary

Last week Hilltop Elementary had a blast getting a chance to slime Counselor Mr. Ball, Principal Dona Lumsden and Administrative Intern Kimberly McCage. This was based on a PTA fundraiser that reached its goal and provided this fun, and slimy, opportunity!

Argyle ISD School Board Meeting Monday

The Argyle ISD School Board will hold a regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 18. Meetings are open to the public and time is allotted for public comment. The open meeting begins at 7 p.m. Meetings are provided via live stream on the district's YouTube Channel and live tweets are shared during the meeting with photos and updates.

Pink Out Night Photos

Argyle ISD held PINK OUT NIGHT last Friday at the Argyle-Anna football game. Students and staff all across the district also wore pink to school on Friday in support of breast cancer awareness. The Argyle stands were covered in pink in support during the game.

COVID-19 Cases - Reporting & Dashboard

Argyle ISD is providing a COVID-19 dashboard to keep parents, staff, students and the community aware of the positive case totals at the campuses. The dashboard is updated by 6 p.m. each school day. The numbers are based on only cases confirmed through documentation with campus nurses.

Eagle Tennis Rolls Past Stephenville In Bi-District Playoff

The Argyle Eagle Tennis team claimed a Class 4A bi-district playoff victory in convincing fashion this week. The Eagles defeated Stephenville 10-0 on Tuesday in Mineral Wells. Argyle has now won 105 consecutive matches.


Argyle advances to face No. 11 state-ranked Canyon in the 4A Area Round on Friday, Oct. 15 at 12:30 p.m. at Iowa Park!

Eagle Runners Win District; Lady Eagles Take Second

It was a great day for the Argyle Eagle and Lady Eagle Cross Country teams on Thursday in the District 7-4A meet. The Eagles won the district championship ahead of Decatur and placed five runners in the top nine overall. Mason White won the individual district title. The Lady Eagles finished second overall to Bridgeport and placed two runners in the top three overall.

Top finishers for the Eagles included: Mason White (district champion), Tyler Westrom (2nd), Brian Woolums (4th), Owen Fritz (7th), Joe Davenport (9th).

Top finishers for the Lady Eagles included: Maura Journagan (2nd), Amaris McCasland (3rd), Mara Reed (8th), Avery Doyle (18th), Kendra Long (19th), Kieran Wagner (20th), Priscilla Husby (23rd)

EAGLE GAMEDAY! Argyle Travels to Face Carrollton Creekview

The Argyle Eagles (5-1, 1-1) bounced back last with a 42-21 home victory against Anna. The Eagles will look to keep the momentum going at Carrollton Creekview tonight at 7 p.m.

The game will be played at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton, located at 1330 W. Valwood Parkway. The stadium has a clear bag policy for all spectators.
