Managing Neck Pain

Neck Pain

Neck pain can be one of the most annoying or debilitating pain that people experience. If you have trouble turning your neck because of tightness, you will find it hard to do things that most people do without thinking about it, such as driving. It can be dangerous if you can't turn to see the car or the lane next to you.
According to the Mayo Clinic: Neck pain is a common complaint. Neck muscles can be strained from poor posture — whether it's leaning into your computer at work or hunching over your workbench at home. Wear-and-tear arthritis also is a common cause of neck pain. Rarely, neck pain can be a symptom of a more serious problem. Seek medical care if your neck pain is accompanied by numbness or loss of strength in your arms or hands or if you're experiencing shooting pain into your shoulder or down your arm.
I had neck pain for three years and I could not get rid of it. I went to see doctors, chiropractors and used various forms of treatment. Chiropractic helped the most but I could not get rid of the tightness on the side of my neck. The constant pain was unnerving. One of my sisters who had just gotten into doTERRA brought her oils down from Ohio for my sister and I to try. I found some relief with the oils she tried so I joined and bought a Physician's Kit. I used Deep Blue oil for a couple of months and the neck pain disappeared! When you use an oil for a chronic problem you have to use it consistently at least a couple of times a day. Anyhow, that pain has been gone for over a year! According to "Healing Oils of the Bible", use of the oils helps to reprogram the body by cleaning cell receptors, erasing bad information and reprogramming new information.
We now have Deep Blue Rub and Deep Blue Roll on. Deep Blue has Wintergreen in it. wintergreen is a natural aspirin so if you are on blood thinners, check with your doctor before using it.
According to New Everything Essential Me, there are oils that are used for pain, inflammation, and relaxing muscles. Click on the link to see what they are. Neck pain is under the heading back pain. I will highlight some of the oils below.
