Elkton Elementary School Memo
Distant Learning Resources for Parents/Students
April 13, 2020
I hope this letter finds you doing well and in good health. As we continue on our new "norm", I want to thank you for your support and diligency during this time. I know that you have made sacrifices to ensure your home is functioning as normal as possible. As a parent, I also worry about my family members and how they are doing. Not seeing some of them, is very difficult.
Due to the nature of this virus and how contagious it is, our Packet-Pick Up on April 13th (3:00-6:00) will look different then last time. You will be asked to park and form a line (six feet between each person) and you will be sent to an area where your grade level packets are. The packets will be spread out so you are only touching your child's packet. If possible, only one person for each family may be in line. We are trying to limit the amount of people at school. If for any reason, you can't pick up your child's packet on April 13th, the front foyer will be open 8:00-4:00 each weekday for you to pick up the packet. If for any reason, you can't come to school, please call the school at 298-1511 and make other arrangements with administration. There will be two more packet-pickups; dates and times TBD.
Teachers have prepared lessons starting with April 14th in core subjects. There are enough lessons to go through May 1st. Your child is encouraged to work through these lessons. No work will be graded or have to be returned to school. If you have any questions, contact your child's teacher.
The link below takes you to a layout of what packet-pickup will look like.

Food Distribution continues Monday and Wednesdays at RBES- 4:00-6:00.
Due to the pandemic, the Joe Corbi Fundraiser Pickup has been POSTPONED. We will let you know when we set up the pick up. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The school building is closed to the public. I will let you know when we will allow students to pick up their personal items. If there is anything that is needed now, please call the school to arrange a time to pick it up. I will get the item, bag it up, and put it in the foyer area for you. This should be for essential items that are needed.
As always, I appreciate your patience in this unusual time and hope you will continue to reach out if you or a family member needs anything.
Stay healthy and safe.
Mrs. Palmer
