MGM 7th Grade House News
December 8, 2017
Welcome!
Parent Support
Also, it is a MGM expectation that all students come to school each day with his/her Ipad fully charged. Our 7th graders started the year doing a great job of meeting this expectation but we are seeing more and more of them needing to charge the Ipad during the day. Would you please help us remind them to charge their Ipads each evening.
THANK YOU

7th Grade Expedition: What's The Cost?
Calling on Local Veterans
Do you know a local veteran? The 7th grade social studies teachers need your help!
This year, we are inviting Lexington County veterans (or those that are actively serving) to our campus to interview about their lives, service, and the choice they made to serve/help others. We plan to preserve veteran stories into a magazine that will be released to the public that will focus on the veterans of Lexington County. This will be a wonderful experience not only to help our students grow into effective communicators, but also to preserve the history of their bravery and service to our country. We ask that anyone that knows of a local veteran that would like to be interviewed by our students to please fill out the google form link https://goo.gl/forms/vvUvNk1qgpo6mOU43.
BOX TOPS for MGMS Special Olympics
The PTO, along with our friends in the MGMS Special Ed Dept, will be collecting BoxTops next week on Dec 13, 14, 15 during morning drop-off. All money raised from BoxTops helps MGM's Special Olympics team in purchasing t-shirts, travel, and other expenses they incur through their participation in Special Olympics events and competitions. Our goal this year is to raise $500 -- 5,000 BoxTops -- so we need everyone's help and participation.
BoxTops can also be dropped off in the office.)
Thank you so much for your support!
