Mission Statement

As members of Ballardville, we recognize that each student in ASPIRE is unique and different in his or her own way. We promise to:

  • help each other learn and excel as a group in class;
  • be kind, respectful, and responsible to our teacher, each other, our classroom, and ourselves;
  • have a positive attitude, follow the Golden Rule, and make sure everyone feels like they fit in;
  • put aside our differences and cooperate with each other respectfully;
  • show kindness in and out of the classroom and treat others with care.

We expect our teacher to challenge us in a way that will help each of us excel in our learning. We like to be challenged and to think outside the box.

Our personal expectations are to be respectful and responsible. We will encourage others to be helpful and not hurtful. We will pull each other up when in need, and will help each other improve.

Maker Space and Chill Out Corral Transformations are Under Way!

As of this afternoon, our Chill Out Corral is open for business! A huge thank you to the Machado and the Tran families for contributing gift cards and items to our center. Also a big shout out to Mrs. Pape, Mrs. Fink, and Anna M. for working so hard today to get this together! It will most likely be a work in progress as we work with it, but for now we are all excited!

Also as of this afternoon, the MakerSpace is taking shape! We received donations from the Tong and Blaisure families to get our storage and tools started! We are still in need of Lego's, 10-12 clear, lidded shoebox storage containers, watercolor paints, brushes, and paper, glue sticks, etc. If you have items around the house or want to donate, let me know! The kids are eager to be "makers!"

Thank you for helping us transform our classroom and evolve to meet the needs of our students!

Pennies for Pink

We will be raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of a fellow fourth-grade teacher who has recently been diagnosed and is battling breast cancer. Yesterday, your child received a letter explaining the "Pennies for Pink" program and will be receiving a sealable plastic bag to collect money. Thank you in advance for your help and support!!

Valentine's Day Party

Thank you so much to everyone who had a hand in making our Valentine's Day party special for our class. They had a wonderful time, we could not have done it without you!!!

Guess That Baby

The students loved playing "Guess That Baby" at our party. Thank you for sending in baby pictures of your children, they were adorable!! I have attached our "Valentine Babies" slideshow if you would like to take a look at all the "cuteness" from earlier today.

Winter Reminder

Please be sure to check the forecast each day to determine what type of coat to send with your child. We go to recess at 12:15pm as long as the windchill is at or above 38 degrees.

Thank you in advance!

Big Thank You!!!!

I wanted to thank all of you again for making my birthday and now Valentine's Day amazing! It is so much fun sharing special days with special kids and their families!
