NTZB Parent Bulletin
January 11, 2023
Hello New Tech Families,
Happy New Year and welcome to our second semester! The start of second semester is a great time to reboot and refresh! New Tech had a very successful first half to our school year. It was wonderful to see our students taking ownership of their learning and working hard to finish strong. However, this is also the time that I need to ask all parents to stay involved and connected. I urge parents to talk to their students about their coursework and grades from first semester along with their attendance. Now would be the time for students to make up any classes that need to be corrected and make sure they attend school every day! Parents can also reach out directly to their child’s teacher with questions or concerns. Our spring Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 6-8 pm. Parents can come to New Tech and meet with our teachers in-person for a short conference with no appointment needed. Keep an eye on the website for more information.
Extracurricular activities are important for student growth. We have many clubs and activities for students, and it is never too late to join! Remember, if your student would like to stay after school for tutoring, we will continue to run our New Tech After Hours program every day (except Thursdays) until 3:30 PM. Finally, we have begun the recruitment process for the class of 2027! If you would like to learn more about our school or are interested in attending as in incoming freshman, please attend one of the informational sessions at New Tech on Wednesday 1/11, Tuesday 1/17, Thursday 1/19 or Monday 1/23 from 6:30-7:30. As always, I look forward to creating more great days for our students and staff!
In partnership,
Bonnie Felske

ZB TECHNOLOGY TIDBIT FOR PARENTS
Call to Action
The New Year is a time of reflection. The office of the Technology Department has done some reflection of our own. We would like to take this opportunity to build an innovative future with meaningful objectives and partnerships. This February we will start work in developing a 3-Phase Technology Plan which will drive our decision-making through 2026. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to collaborate on this plan, including parents. We are hoping to have up to five ZBTHS 126 parents join the committee. We hope to accomplish our goals in 8 meetings from 2:50 pm to 4:50 pm starting on January 23, 2023.
Are you interested in being part of the 3-Phase Technology Planning Committee?
Fill out this form to express your interest.
