News From the Nest

Week of May 23-27, 2022

Dear APS Families,

Thank you for everyone who came out to APS Takes Flight Thursday evening. What a wonderful night to focus on all things flight, everything from plane simulators to birds of prey. We had a great time visiting with families as we walked around to all the exhibits and enjoyed the many vendors. Special thanks to Ms. Roberts who organized the event. It was a fantastic school-community event!

This summer APSK8 has the unique opportunity to have our students keep their skills sharp with a couple different options from This platform is available to all of our students via:

Students can take a diagnostic that will craft a skills plan specific to your student’s needs in reading and math.

This three minute video will you give insight on how to access this feature:

The next option is using IXL’s premade skill plans: Summer Boost Skill plan or IXL Summer Adventures. These skills plans were created to highlight and target skills that your student will be practicing in the next grade level.

Please consider having your APS student continue elevating their skills over summer at their own pace using this outstanding website!
