PBIS - Positive Behavior
Through Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports, (PBIS), students are taught positive behaviors so that they promote a positive school culture that is respectful, responsible, and safe. All students are expected to follow the student discipline policy in order to promote a culture of learning.
Schools in Marquardt School District 15 will continue to implement and enforce the student discipline policy when behavior expectations are not followed. The policy prohibits bullying.
August/September PBIS Focus-
Being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE in the LUNCHROOM. Each class that promotes these positive behaviors will receive a Golden Paw. The class at each grade with the most Golden Paw Tickets will be announced at the September PBIS Assembly.
IRLA Reading Steps at Home
Parents, we need your help! Every night your child will be bringing home books to read at their fun, fast and easy level. They will also have a log sheet to write down the steps they read. Each step is 15 minutes and they should be reading at least two steps per night.
We ask for your help in the following ways:
Turn off TV, computers, phone and games.
Observe your child reading for 30 minutes (this is equal to 2 steps)
Think and talk about the books afterwards (ask your child questions about the characters or where the story takes place or their favorite part of the book)
Sign 100 Book Challenge log sheets.
Help students pack up books to return to school for others to enjoy!
