8 Ways to use Padlet in your classroom.
- Padlet can be used as a collaborative blog for your students. You post a topic and they can "stream" a running dialog. Be sure to select "stream" in format.
- Start class with a KWL chart in Padlet. Students can participate anonymously or they can sign in.
- Students groups can share a Padlet to research a topic.
- Share links with students for a project on a Padlet. This Padlet was for a PBL unit in Mrs. Reed's Class.
- Showcase student work using a Padlet. Padlet is a great place to post student videos and slideshows. Check out this example from Mrs. Witt's Class and Mrs. Gray's Class
- Padlet can be used as a "parking lot" for questions students have.
- Students can use Padlet as a presentation tool.
- Padlet can be used as an exit ticket for you classes.
Please post your ideas for using Padlet on this wall.
DO YOU WANT HELP SETTING UP A GOOGLE CONTACTS GROUP in Gmail ?
Many teachers find this an easier way to contact students, parents, or groups of teachers. You can use these groups to send items in Google Drive as well. Even though it takes a minute to set up, it is well worth it over the course of a year! To set up a Google Contacts Group...
- Go to your Gmail
- Click on the drop down arrow next to Mail.
- Choose Contacts
- Scroll down on the left hand side to where it says "New Group"
- Name your group (i.e. Parents 2014-2015) and press "Ok"
- Click on the group name on the left hand side
- Press the button that is, a person icon with a plus sign
- Type in your parent email addresses (you can do multiple at once by separating with a comma)
- Click add
Now when you go back to your email, all you need to do is put in the contact group name in and you can send an email. Feel free to make other groups that you email frequently too!
If these directions don't make sense, send a Help Ticket and we will be happy to walk you through it.
Vocabulary Bowl
The program even predicts which vocabulary words you don't know and will teach them to you. Review is even schduled in.
