Season of Service

partner - serve - change

An opportunity for students to serve!

I get excited about a lot of things, but nothing makes me more excited then when I see young people serve. So you can imagine how excited I feel about hundreds of local youth serving their school campuses during a 48 hour period next month!

Serve Every School is a Sacramento region youth initiative giving opportunity for students to engage their schools in a positive and practical way by simple acts of service on April 21st-22nd 2015. This is the broadest service mobilization effort of youth that we are aware of to ever happen in the Sacramento region with over 40 high schools and middle schools already being committed to for projects! We are embarking on something new and It's going to take the work of the Holy Spirit and everyone working together to make this happen.

Do you know of a high school student leader, a youth pastor or a ministry leader in your church who would be interested in participating in this extraordinary effort? Please take a moment right now to forward this newsletter to them so they can join the initiative to help thousands of students serve every school.

Serving with you,

Megan McCleary

Serve Sacramento Director

Stories of Service: Adopt a Mom for Valentines Day

Valentine's Day is a wonderful time to express love to important people in our lives, but for some people who may be alone or don't have anyone in their lives to make that day special, it can be a lonely and painful day. So for this Valentine's Day, Serve Partnerships Unlimited partnered with volunteers from 3 regional churches, one business and two ministries to deliver hand-made Valentines Day baskets to single moms, widows and neighbors. Revive Therapy Massage donated one-hour massage certificates to fill these baskets. The massages and baskets were delivered personally by caring volunteers and graciously received.

Thank you to everyone who worked together to share God's love and make this day special for women who needed it!
