Curriculum Nights

Our teachers are excited to share important curriculum information with you. Our PPCD, Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st-grade teachers had a successful curriculum night this past Tuesday. If you were not able to attend, please contact your child's teacher for the missed information. Each teacher will present this information at two times, 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm on their assigned evening. The presentation will begin on time, so please plan to arrive a few minutes prior to the start time. You will report directly to your child's classroom. We hope that you are able to join us; however, in the event that you are unable to do so, our teachers will be sharing their presentations electronically. Teachers will also share information about how to sign up for your teacher-parent conference.

Tuesday, September 11 (2nd and 4th)

Thursday, September 13 (3rd and 5th))

You may attend at either 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm.

Safety at Robison

Our assistant principals visited with all of our students today about important information in the district Code of Conduct. They also shared information with our upper grades about our Tipline. A link to a video about the Tipline is below.

The safety of our students is always our top priority. Please take a moment to watch the video about safety features at Robison.

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is due September 10th. Please turn in your blue forms to Ms. Wolfe or your teacher and they will place them in my box. I look forward to seeing many students receive their medals at the end of September.

Birthday Book Club

Join our wonderful program where students get to select a brand new book to check out and enjoy with their family. I will place a sticker with your child's name inside the cover to give credit to the birthday friend. Your child will get to bring the book home, and then they will return it to school for others to enjoy. The cost is $15.00 and form of payment is CASH or preferably paying online using SCHOOL CASH. Kids LOVE to pick out their very own book and realize the importance of reading.

Lending-to-Learn (Kajeet)

Students have been given the opportunity to borrow a district-provided Chromebook and/or a Kajeet hotspot (20 available daily). The Kajeet hotspot will allow your student to connect to the Internet from either the district-provided Chromebook or a personally owned device. It’s a filtered Internet service and will monitor and filter your student’s access. Chromebooks and Kajeet hotspots will be checked out from the library each afternoon to students as needed to complete assignments or work on projects. Students return the devices the next morning upon arrival at school. Please have your student pick up a permission slip from Ms. Wolfe : )

Help Needed

Do you like to decorate? Are you crafty? Mrs. Gerletti is looking for a few volunteers to help brighten up the Robison hallways and restrooms. We want to brighten up our hallways with motivating and positive messages for our students, as well as the restrooms. We are in need of volunteers who have the resources/tools to cut out vinyl lettering. We'd like to have 5 large bulletin boards for our hallways and vinyl lettering for bathroom stall doors throughout the school. There are some pictures below as an example. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Gerletti (kelly.gerletti@cfisd.net) by next Friday, September 14. Thanks so much!

What is E-Track?

We are excited for our students to have the opportunity to participate in enrichment tracks (E-Track) again this year. If you are new to Robison, E-track is another name for enrichment clusters. Enrichment clusters are groups of students who share common interests and come together during specially designated time blocks to pursue interests. We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to discover and cultivate their interests and passions through innovative learning experiences that inspire them to add value to their community and world. Students in 2nd-5th grade will make their selections based upon the choices for their grade level. Our kindergarten and first-grade students will be rotating with their homeroom classes to other teachers' rooms to participate in a modified version of E-track. Our first E-track session begins on September 26 and concludes on October 30. The specific dates are shown in the "Important Dates" section.
