I Am Still Alive by Kate Alice Marshall

WOW WOW WOW-Go ahead and thank me now! This survival story is crazy intense, full of action, and plenty of danger. It is Hatchet times 10! Get this book from the library as soon as possible!

There is not a great trailer but basically...

The main character must survive in the Canadian wilderness in the winter after her father is murdered. The bad guys burned down the cabin before they left. And the bullets she has do not fit the gun. And there are wolves near. And a fox steals her fish. And the bad guys came back.

See what I mean. Nonstop action. You will enjoy!

Harbor Me by Jacqueline Woodson

Just another beautiful story by Jacqueline Woodson. This is a very simple story of a group of students who struggle at school. Every Friday, their teacher gives them time to just talk. Respect, friendship, and acceptance grows as this group really learns about each other.

Doughnut Fix

This was such a fun book to read. After this kid moves to a very small town, the new school won't let him start until the next semester begins. His parents come up with a "great" idea to complete a project during his downtime. And that is where the doughnut fix begins.

You have some time on your hands. Could you start a small business? What would you sell? What services could you offer?
