EAST NOBLE SCHOOL CORPORATION
THE EMAIL PHISHING CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN
At around 9:00 this morning, we launched our email phishing campaign. The system we are using will randomly send mock phishing emails to all staff members. When you get an email you think looks suspicious, we challenge you to THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK. POST. TYPE. If something looks suspicious, JUST DELETE!
Without giving too much detail, we have already had 11% of the people who have received one of these emails actually click on the links contained within the email. Does the following picture look familiar to some of you? If so, you are one of the 11%.
While 11% may not seem all that bad to you, IT TAKES JUST ONE PERSON TO CLICK ON A MALICIOUS EMAIL TO PLACE BOTH THAT PERSON AND THE ENTIRE DISTRICT AT RISK!
In the coming days, we are going to be picking apart phishing emails to give you an idea of what to be looking for. However, many people don't entirely understand what phishing is and how it is used to steal data from individuals and businesses. Please take 2 minutes to watch the video clip below to help you gain some understanding about why this is EVERYONE'S problem.
IT'S THAT IMPORTANT!
