Post-Conference Planning
Post-Conferences are another opportunity for you to coach teachers towards improvement. The more interaction teachers have with the Rubric, and spend time thinking about their lesson before the conference-the more powerful the conversation.

- Teachers need to have a rubric in hand when post-conferencing.
- It is helpful to have the post-conference graphic displayed during to walk the teacher through the process.
- Focus on the evidence & the lesson.
- Use your coaching skills-Feedback, Reflective Questions, Value Statements
- Choose a Refinement Area that serves as a hinge-point for overall growth.
- When possible hold pre & post conferences in the teacher's classroom, or a neutral site to establish safety and build relationship.
