A Peak into our week
ELA
We read Night Tree by Eve Bunting this week. It is such a sweet story. Along with the story, the skills we worked on were: main idea and supporting detail, compare and contract, using evidence in the text, vocabulary words, and contractions.
Math
We continue to work on the foundational skills of multiplication: repeated addition, skip counting, arrays, and equal groups. The children are doing great understanding and applying these concepts. Please continue to practice the skill of skip counting at home.
Bible
Our theme this week was "I'm sorry" and we really enjoyed reading all about Jonah. After looking up and reading the chapters in Jonah (actually reading along with The Bible App.) we had wonderful discussions on what this should look like for us today.
Grandparent's Day
Please invite loved ones to join us for this Program. It will begin at 8:30 in the Varsity Gymnasium. Following the program, all guests are invited to visit the classrooms for refreshments. It is called Grandparent's Day and we will recognize them, but all family and friends are invited. If the Grandparents for your child can't attend, just let me know and I will be glad to step into this role! Please let me know if your child will be leaving after the program.
This is an Assembly Dress Day!
