HIGHLIGHTS OF SENIOR NIGHT AND MIDDLE SCHOOL NIGHT
We had a great turn-out last week for both the celebration of our senior band students and the hosting of middle school band students! The senior band students enjoyed a special dinner and family desert reception before the game. On the field prior to the game, each senior was individually recognized with their accomplishments and future ambitions.
During the game, the marching band section of the bleachers was packed with middle school band students! The RHS Marching Band students did a wonderful job of welcoming the young students and entertaining them during the evening.
Many thanks to the volunteers who staffed the Band Concession Stand. They had to work double-time during the 2nd and 3rd quarters to accommodate both the RHS band students and the middle school band students.
Check out some great pictures from the evenings events and activities on the band's SmugMug website: RHS vs. Etowah.
Even Dr. Shaw joined in on the snare drum during the 4th Quarter Cadence!
FALL CONCERT (Tuesday Oct. 5th)
The RHS Band Fall Concert is here! Students should wear their "concert black" attire for the evening. The concert will be in the RHS auditorium and will start at 7:00 p.m. Concert Band will perform first, followed by Symphonic Band, and closing with Wind Ensemble.

Concert Attire: All Black Dress Clothing (No shorts, sneakers, white socks, t-shirts, hoodies, clothing with writing, etc.)
Concert Etiquette for All
- All band students are expected to perform at several concerts throughout the year. Below is a list of guidelines to help parents, students, and band supporters make Roswell High School a shining example throughout Fulton County and the state of Georgia.
- Performances are not optional. They are a large part of the student’s grade.
- Parents should make every effort to attend every concert, as your child has worked diligently to perfect this presentation for you.
- There should be no “drop offs or pick ups”. A family member/guardian is expected to be in attendance for each student.
- Everyone should dress appropriately for concerts.
- Stay for the entire concert. All students are required to stay for the entire concert to support their peers.
- Be on time. If a student is late, he/she may not be allowed to participate, and/or may not receive credit for the performance.
- Do not enter or leave during a performance. Move during the applause, only.
- Silence all cell phones and other electronics. Please take all cell phone conversations into the lobby while the bands are playing, if necessary.
- We love our future band members, but please take restless children to the lobby.
- If you think you may need to leave, please sit in the last row to avoid disruption.
- Understand that all concerts require a “tear down” and “pack-up” process. Please don’t expect your child to leave until this process is complete.
