October Heart of the District Winners!
Khaidyn Henz
Kabedi Mulomede
What nominators said about our Heart Award Winners:
Khaidyn goes above and beyond to help his fellow peers when they are struggling and tries to help them out. He is very patient, understanding, and cooperative and helpful during this very difficult time with E-learning. He never gets frustrated when others are having problems he just sits quietly and patiently and waits. He is very attentive and comes ready every morning ready to learn and interact during meets. I appreciate Khaidyn’s hard work it is not unnoticed.
-Nominated by a fellow classmate
Kabedi recently shared a personal story that touched my mind, body, and soul. The story and experience had several principals and participants emotionally taken away and she motivated me even more to ensure ALL students in DPS feel emotionally and physically safe in ALL our school buildings. Her story provided immediate validation that the work align to be culturally responsive climate is needed in DPS and I have made a "Kabedi Vow" that no student will ever experience anything similar to what she described.
-Nominated by an administrator
