Cordelia Hills Update

Weekly Recap

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend Back to School Night. We appreciate your support and the relationship that is forged between families and the school. That positive relationships is imperative to the success of our students.

This month we continue to build relationships with students and we continue to master routines and foster positive class culture as we dive into instruction. Our 1st-5th grade students are beginning the Fall MAP administration. MAP is our district benchmark assessment for Reading and Math. It it focused on both achievement AND growth. These fall results will allow us to set goals, focus instruction, and assist students no matter where they are.

Lastly, a note for traffic. PLEASE avoid blocking driveways and please avoid stopping in the middle of the street to allow for your child to run across the busy street. WE appreciate your help in keeping students safe!

School Site Council Ballot

The Parent Ballot for our 2019-2020 School Site Council is live. The ballot will be open for two more days. We only had a few votes last week and that is NOT representative of our parent community.

Attendance 2019-2020

Attendance was strong last week! Great job to all of our students!

Our goal for student attendance is 97.5% for the school year with a focus on having strong attendance foundations in TK-1st grade. Also, we are aiming for less than 15 tardies a day. Check out our daily spreadsheet below. It will be updated each day and you can track where we are. Please make sure to call if your student is absent (or going to be absent) and please contact the main office with AT least two weeks notice if you look to apply for short term independent study.
