The Canterbury Tales

He is the manager who takes car of his master’s estate or farm. He has a lot of experience on land and pricing live stocks and crops.
Time period and ocupation
How his ersonality is.
What i now think of him.
Now that I have researched more about him I know more about how much of a scam he is. The Chaucer did not include everything he did like the fact that he steals from his master’s land.
How would he be today?
If he had a job today I think he would probably be working at a market overcharging people for fruit. He would be growing the food at some one else farm and stealing from them and selling the products for more.
Paraphrasing Each Line
There is a Reeve who takes care of his master’s land in a town called Bawdswell in Norfolk, England. He had a bad temper and got mad easily. He had short trimmed hair like a priest and it was shaved clean around his ears. He also had a neat trimmed beard which was also shaved close. He was tall skinny and has legs that looked like sticks; you couldn’t even see his calves. He had been in charge of his master’s land since he was 20 years old. He was very detailed about his job and no one could blame him for being inaccurate. He had a lot of experience and knew how much grain was in granary and knew how to figure out crop yields by just checking how much rain there was that year. He knew all the masters horses, chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs. All the other peasants where scared of the Reeve because he knew when they where laying to him or cheating him. He knows about carpenters because when he was younger he used to be one and he is still pretty good at it. He had a house underneath which had some shade trees in the middle of the meadow. He knew more about money and the land than his master did and this is why he was able to save up a fortune over time. It also helped that he had been playing his master all this time by buying things he already owned and by taking the masters thank you gifts. He would ride a sturdy plowed horse that was dappled gray named scot and wore a rusty sword. He would wear long blue coat draped around him which made him look like a friar. He rode last in out group.
