Senior Leadership is on display at Early Childhood Center
The Early Childhood Education program is a two year program that allows individuals to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. The CDA credential is the most widely recognized national credential in early childhood education. It is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement. The program’s purpose is to enhance the quality of early child care by defining, evaluating, and recognizing the competence of early child care professionals across the country. Pictured below, CDA candidate Adelina Alvarez is leading a small group of students making various shapes with playdough. She has been volunteering extra time at the ECC to log enough hours to earn her CDA. Her classroom is so grateful for her extra help and dedication! Alexis Parrish is a first year senior. She has jumped right into the role of cadet teacher. Today she helped facilitate building activities in the block area during free choice time.
