Week 11, Term 1

Deputy Principal's Message

E mihi ana ki a koutou e te whaanau maa o te kura o Hautapu.

The end of Term 1 has arrived and what a busy term it has been for everyone. Although we are not out of the woods yet I am pleased to see how we continue to manage through the Covid crisis. It would not have been easy for families affected due to testing positive or being household contacts and we hope that you are all keeping well and hopefully things are getting back to normal.

As of today the country is operating in Orange settings under the Covid Protection Framework and we expect this will allow for some easing of restrictions to occur within our school setting in term 2. This will be communicated with you before the start of next term based on guidance and advice from the Ministries of Health and Education.

School has been great for all of our students in maintaining routines, social interaction and engagement in learning for all. A big thankyou to all of the Hautapu Staff for keeping the school running from our admin staff, support staff and teachers, everyone has come together throughout the term and supported each other to ensure the school runs effectively to meet the needs of our learners.

Easter Egg Raffle

A massive thankyou to everyone who donated easter egg prizes and sold tickets to fundraise towards the school. We have some eggceptional prizes to give away on Thursday when the raffle is drawn towards the end of the school day. Happy Easter from Hautapu School!

ANZAC Day Rememberance

Hautapu School’s House Leaders will represent the school at the Civic Commemorative Service held at the Cambridge Town Hall on Monday 25th April at 9am. A wreath will be laid on behalf of the school at the Cenotaph. An invitation is extended to all of our families who wish to come along on the morning and participate in this special occasion.

Wishing everyone a lovely break over Easter to rest and recharge, visit family, take time out from busy schedules and of course enjoy the odd easter egg or two. Keep safe and well over the break and we look forward to having everyone back on board in Term 2.
