MAP 2015-16 Update
Winfield Warriors Rock The MAP!!!
We are extremely proud of the growth that our students have shown in all sections of the MAP. The students and staff are working hard again this year to make sure that we continue this growth during the 2016-17 school year.
ELA growth
- 3rd grade increased % at proficient and advanced from 39.2% to 48.7%!
- 4th grade increased % at proficient and advanced from 44.5% to 51.5%!
- As a building we saw an increase of 8.3% in students scoring proficient or advanced on the ELA portion of the MAP!
Closing the Gap
- We have closed the gap significantly between our students and the state average. We have plans in place that we believe will help us to continue this growth in the upcoming years!
- We have set a goal for this year to see similar increases in each grade level!
Math Growth! WOW!
- Over 28% more students scoring proficient and advanced as a building on the Math section of the MAP!
- Each grade level showed tremendous improvement
- 3rd grade improved by 26.8%
- 4th grade improved by 28.5%
- 5th grade improved by 30,3%
- Students who moved from 3rd the 4th increased by over 30%
- Students moving from 4th to 5th increased by nearly 25%
Winfield Intermediate surpasses State averages!
- In each grade level Winfield Intermediate students exceeded the state average on the Math section of the MAP!
Focused Growth!
- Winfield Intermediate was named as school of focus by the Missouri Department of Education during the 2015-16 school year based on the performance of students with IEPs and those qualified for free/reduced lunch
- Those two categories make up our Super Subgroups
- Our Super Subgroup students increased from 22% scoring proficient or advanced to 49.3% on the Math section of the MAP!
- Those same students increased from 35.1% to 48.4% on the ELA section of the MAP!
IEP growth!
- The % of students with IEPs who scored proficient or advanced increased from 13.6% to 24.6% on the ELA portion of the MAP!
- We saw a decrease from 74.2% to 47,7% of students with IEPs who scored below basic on the ELA portion of the MAP! That is outstanding!
IEP Math Improvement
- The % of students with IEPs who scored proficient or advanced increased from 9.1% to 26.2% on the Math section of the MAP! WoW!!!
- The % of students with IEPs who scored below basic decreased from 66.7% to 36.9% on the Math section of the MAP! That is extremely exciting!!
Jumping up the ranks!
- Winfield Intermediate jumped up the state rankings by 334 positions!!
- Only 16 Elementary Schools in the Missouri had a larger move up the rankings!
- 3rd out of 9 schools in Lincoln County on the Math portion of the MAP
- #1 in combined scores for School Districts in Lincoln County at the Elementary School Level in Lincoln County in Math!!!!
