Parent Conferences Coming-February 8th and 9th
Roadrunner Parents,
Note that both February 8th and 9th are 12 PM early release times for students. Grade level teams are reaching out to parents of students who are not meeting proficient levels. All grade levels will accomodate "open" conference hours. Please feel free to reach out to your grade child's teachers directly to set up a time.

TUSD School Choice Expo
Rocky the Roadrunner was present at the annual Step Up expo this past week at the Tucson Convention Center. Magee along with all TUSD schools were present at the event. To register your child for next year, please visit your parentvue account.

IReady Goal: 45 Minutes a Week in Math/45 Minutes a Week in Reading
Parents,
Help your children meet their IReady goal and they get their picture with Rocky the Roadrunner in the hallway!! We run the report at the end of every month to see which students have met their goals.
The month of November had over 90 students meet their IReady goals!!! Thank you parents!!!

21st Century After School Club
The Magee 21st Century Club is resuming after Fall Break. We will offer a host of after school activities in addition to tutoring. Please contact Mr. Miller or Ms. Seamans for more information.

Revised Bell Schedule for Testing Days
Parents,
Our benchmark testing days for ELA and Math take place on 12/12 and 12/14. Classes will be significantly shorter on those days to account for the testing block.
Turkey Trot a Running Success
Rocky the Roadrunner cheered on staff and students the day before Thanksgiving break. The boy and girl winner for each grade level got a turkey dinner courtesy of St. Pius catholic church. Run Roadrunners Run!
Family Reading and Craft Night-Monday, December 11th
Come visit Magee this upcoming Monday night for our Family Reading-Craft night. Each content area is responsible for one interactive reading based activity.

Parent Canvas Accounts Now Active
Magee teachers have placed their class syllabuses some assignments on their CANVAS accounts. Each student and parent can also access their accounts. Magee is in a multi year process with other TUSD campuses to slowly integrate learning materials online. Directions to access your child's CANVAS accounts can be found here...

Recognition Assemblies!!
Magee students who scored proficient in either reading or math on their benchmark tests were treated to a fun filled period of games and activities. The assembly was sponsored by the school's leadership team. Great job Roadrunners!!
TKAP
The Korean Ambassador Program is underway. Students have been learning all about South Korean culture. We are excited about the Korean our Foreign Exchange students that will be coming in January for 3 weeks. Mrs. Butler our Magee sponsor is looking for host families for 9 of our students coming from the island of Ulleungdo. If any are interested please come and see me or call 520-731-5000.
