Plympton Family Update
September 22, 2023
From the Interim Principal
Hello Plympton Families,
We completed another great week at Plympton!
Periodically throughout the year our schedules are adjusted so that each grade level has the same amount of classes with each specialists. The first switch is next week. We will follow our Monday schedule on Tuesday. This means if your student usually has gym on Mondays, they will have it on Tuesdays next week.
Elementary School Handbooks were recently updated for the 2023-2024 school year.
- 2023 - 2024 ES Handbook English
- 2023 - 2024 ES Handbook Spanish
- 2023 - 2024 ES Handbook Portuguese
- 2023 - 2024 ES Handbook Haitian Creole
For safety and security reasons, it is very important for students to ride the bus they are assigned. School buses are assigned based on addresses. Students are only allowed to ride the bus to which they are assigned. Students can not switch buses to travel home with a friend. During dismissal staff take attendance for each bus based on the official bus roster.
If your student's after school dismissal procedure changes, i.e. taking the assigned bus rather than attending Champions or the Boys and Girls Club, please email both your student's teacher and Mrs. Conneely in the front office. meghanconneely@walthampublicschools.org
We work very hard to get all students home safely and your assistance with these two items will help!
Waltham Public Schools has a new alert system and you can download the app to receive notifications right to your phone. Click here for more information!
Plympton is using The Leader in Me resource to support our social emotional learning. More information about what this looks like is in a graphic below.
For our families observing Yom Kippur this weekend, Yom Tov.
Go Penguins!
Sincerely,
Adrienne Norris

Thank you all for coming
