Message from the Principal:
We would like to congratulate all of our students who earned Honor Roll and Principal's List status for the 2nd marking period. They have worked hard and excelled academically. We are quite proud of their efforts! Their names can be found below.
On Thursday, February 18 at 6 pm, we will host an 8th Grade Parent Information Night for anyone whose child will be entering high school in the fall. The topics will include such things as: course selection, graduation requirements, program of studies, honors/AP courses, AVID, and Option II among others. This event will be virtual. Please use the zoom link below for access.
Is your child struggling with homework? Check out our Homework Help program through the 21st Century Afterschool Club: click here.
We are also offering a mid-year credit recovery program for students who are struggling academically. This eight-week intervention will allow students to improve their grades from the first two marking periods. If you have a child who could benefit from such a program, please contact Mr. Dobbins, our high school Assistant Principal. He can be reached at 856-853-0123 ext. 228 or ddobbins@woodburysch.com. This is a great opportunity; parents don't let your child miss out!
Remember - no school on Monday for Presidents' Day! Enjoy the weekend!

Mrs. Lario's AVID 12 Class
Loss. Frustration. Isolation. These are some of the crushing obstacles that our students face every day. Mrs. Lario's AVID 12 class tackles these topics and others in a very personal way, through essays, and, eventually, through videos. The students are participating in the annual AVID speaker's contest. Every summer educators from around the country meet for three days of intense training at one of several sites in the country. Each year at these trainings, AVID features students to share their stories of success at overcoming obstacles. The inspirational stories, a highlight of the conference, really underscore the value of each person as an individual but also what we can accomplish when working together. The resilient AVID 12 students are busy writing and revising their stories as they compete with other AVID students from many states. Next, they'll video themselves telling their stories. Please wish these amazing students well in the contest and their future endeavors.
News from the School Nurse
· If your child is in need of an eye exam, and does not have vision insurance, please contact me. I have vouchers for a free eye exam AND a free pair of glasses (if needed) from several participating eye doctors. The vouchers do expire, and are available on a first come, first-served basis.
· ATTENTION PARENTS OF 5TH GRADE STUDENTS: Once your child turns eleven, please make an appointment with your child’s primary healthcare provider to have the Tdap and Meningitis vaccine administered. These are required in order to START 6th grade. Failure to do so, can result in exclusion from school as per N.J.A.C. 8:57-4. This is also a good time to obtain an updated physical exam if your child has not recently been seen by his/her primary care provider.
· If your child(ren) have recently returned to school from being fully remote, and he/she has ANY medical condition (asthma, food allergy, diabetes, seizure disorder, etc), please contact me as soon as possible. It may be necessary to have plans completed by your medical provider so that I can provide the best possible care to your child.
· As always, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I am typically in the building Monday – Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. The health and safety of your child(ren) is of utmost importance to me, and I thank you for allowing me to care for them during the school day.
