Thanksgiving Feast Pre-Registration
Dear Hailey Families,
We are so excited to have the opportunity to invite our families to our Thanksgiving Celebration on November 17, 2023. A Pre-Registration form needs to be completed for each visitor. Just a reminder that all visitors will be required to check in with a valid ID. In order to expedite the check-in process, while continuing to provide a safe and secure setting, we are requesting that the visitors planning on attending the event pre-register by filling out the information below.
~When you pre-register, your name badge will be ready for you in advance on the day of the event. However, an ID will still be required for check-in.
~Failure to pre-register, may result in waiting in a long line and possibly missing part of your child's event.
It will take time to prepare the information and print badges through the Raptor program. Therefore, any visitor who has not registered in advance (11/16/23) will have to follow the normal check-in procedures in the front office. This procedure will expedite the security process for visitors. We sincerely appreciate you pre-registering for visitor’s badges. The wait time to obtain a badge in the office may be quite lengthy. Please plan ahead and pre-register for this event.
Please provide us with the information requested by filling out the link below by November 16, 2023.

Hailey Watch DOGS!
WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. There are 2 primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program:
1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
We believe that all of us want the same things for our kids and these values unite us. This program serves to bring communities closer together based on these values-based goals. Ultimately, our purpose is to change the country for the better by doing our small part to provide support to our educators and encouragement to our children.
Follow the steps below to get started!
- Complete the CISD Volunteer Application.
- Contact Mrs. Dumlao to schedule a date to volunteer at mdumlao@conroeisd.net
- Optional: Order your official Watch DOG shirt at the Watch DOG store.
Door Dash deliveries for student lunches are not accepted at school.
Emails from the library...
Conroe ISD Library Services enabled daily email notifications, so you are informed of the items checked out by your student. Daily emails will list the item(s) currently checked out. If the book(s) your student selected is not a good fit, please have your student return it to the campus library and choose a new title. If you have questions about the book(s), please contact the school librarian. Notifications for these daily messages can be managed in Parent Access Center (PAC). If you don’t have a PAC account, you will need to register for one to access the email settings. You can also view the item(s) your student checked out by logging in to Destiny Discover through your student's SSO account. You can further manage your student’s access to library materials by completing the Library Access Form found on the Library Services website along with viewing other helpful information. Please do not reply to this email as it comes from an unmonitored email account.
CISD GT Application Window
October 1st marks the opening of the GT REFERRAL WINDOW. Parents, teachers, counselors, and administration can refer any student for GT testing. We will be collecting referral forms from October 2 - December 15, 2023. Please ask your child's teacher for a GT referral form.
Become a Library Volunteer!
The library is in need of parent volunteers to work one shift a week or one shift every other week. Library volunteers help check out books to students, return books to the shelves, and work on specials projects. Volunteering in the library is a great way to meet other parents and get involved with the school.
Morning Volunteer Shift
8:20 - 10:50 Classes include Grades 1-3.
Afternoon Volunteer Shift
1:10 - 2:50 Classes include Kindergarten and 4th grade.
Pre-K volunteers work on an as needed basis.
If you are interested in volunteering in the library, please complete the Conroe ISD Volunteer Application at https://apps.conroeisd.net/volunteer/ and email Mrs. Puller at kpuller@conroeisd.net.
Lunch Visitor Schedule
- PK, 2nd, and 4th grade lunch visits are on Monday and Wednesday.
- Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade lunch visits on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Fridays are for working parents.
Lunch Visitor Policy
Safety is a top priority in CISD and at Hailey Elementary School. All lunch visitors must be listed as an Emergency Contact or accompanied by a parent. If a visitor arrives who is not on the Emergency Card they will not be allowed to have lunch with the student. Please be aware of this policy.
Hailey staff will monitor the number of visitors to several grade levels. Due to space issues, lunches for several grades may become sign up only.
CP Cheer is going to Nationals!
At College Park High School we work very hard to control costs and offer fundraising opportunities for our teams, but each cheerleader will be responsible for more than $2,000.00 in expenses over the next 6 months. In an effort to avoid charging individuals for all needed items, we conduct fundraising to offset the cost. We never want cost to be the reason that keeps our athletes from participating in the activity they love.
Now's your chance to join the winning team and support our cheerleaders! Grab your raffle tickets today for a chance to win big while helping us spread cheer and spirit!

7 steps to take after a virus has hit your home
Viruses. No one likes it when they overstay their welcome. In the event that you or someone in your household gets sick with the flu, COVID-19 or another kind of virus, the next major move is to get rid of the virus once and for all.
While deep cleaning and disinfecting your entire home sounds like a daunting task, Memorial Hermann has you covered. Our Memorial Hermann Infectious Disease specialists have shared seven immediate, simple steps you can take to restore a healthy, germ-free environment.
1. Wash your bedding and clothing.
Strip your rooms of any blankets, sheets, pillows, bedding and clothes worn while sick, and start tossing them into the washing machine. Take care to do so in a methodical way—most importantly, keeping the clean loads separate from the ones still waiting to be washed.
2. Clean the bathroom.
If possible, pick one bathroom for those who are ill to use. Creating separate spaces for anyone infected with a virus is critical to ensuring it doesn’t get spread around. After symptoms have passed, disinfect the entire bathroom, concentrating on areas like the sink, faucet, toilet and toilet handle.
3. Disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Touched surfaces include countertops, doorknobs, light switches and stair railings. Every day, we touch any number of surfaces and features of our homes, which means they all become common places a virus can live–even after our physical symptoms are gone. In the event of a virus, disinfect frequently touchedhard surfaces throughout your entire home, especially the rooms where the sick individual(s) spent the majority of their time.
4. Wash your used towels
Once the illness is over, wash all towels used throughout your home on the hottestt possible temperature available. Towels are considered a higher-risk item because they become soiled from our use. Since they absorb moisture, towels have a tendency to hold germs inside. And using a hotter temperature can stop any existing bacteria from multiplying.
5. Don't forget the electronics and toys!
Consider tossing stuffed animals and soft kids toys into the washing machine to thoroughly clean them. As for electronics and hard kids’ toys (like remote controls, cell phones, building blocks, etc.), disinfect their surfaces using disinfectant wipes or rubbing alcohol and water.
6. Throw out all of the trash.
Gather trash from all rooms of the house and take it out on a regular basis. For anyone who is ill in your home, try dedicating a lined trash can for that one person’s use. It’s a good idea (and a CDC precaution for all cleaning and disinfecting during a time of virus) to wear gloves when you are removing or handling any trash bags.
7. Toss out your toothbrush.
Dispose of any toothbrush used during a period of sickness and buy a new one. If your toothbrush is not disposable, disinfect the head of your toothbrush by following these directions:
- Swirl the bristles in antibacterial mouthwash for 30 seconds.
- Dissolve 2 teaspoons of baking soda in a cup of water and soak the toothbrush in the solution.
- Dilute 1 teaspoon of 3% strength hydrogen peroxide in 1 cup of water and swish the toothbrush bristles in the solution before brushing.
- Soak the bristles in vinegar overnight once per week.
- Dissolve a denture cleansing tablet according to the instructions on the label and soak the toothbrush bristles in the solution.

In addition to the action items above, it’s important to have your household continue practicing good handwashing hygiene–even when an illness is not present. By doing this, we can all play an important role in reducing the spread of viruses.
Do you have a PAC account for your child?
Fun Fact: Out of the 622 students enrolled in Hailey, only 432 families have a PAC account! A PAC (Parent Access Center) allows parent access to school information about their child. By logging into Parent Access, you can check your child's grades, assignments, and attendance.
To access your child’s information online you must register for an account.
