5th Graders at the State Capitol with Governor Herbert
Olympian Inspires Students During Assembly
Mustang Monday Message
Last week was a wonderful week! We had the opportunity to listen to Olympian Derek Parra share his inspiring journey to winning a gold and silver medal at the Salt Lake City Olympic Games. Our fifth graders had the opportunity to go to the State Capitol and meet Governor Gary Herbert...Governor Herbet even tweeted out about meeting our Mustangs. Lastly, we enjoyed seeing many of you at our Culver's Spirit Night.
This week we are looking forward to our literacy week! Several reading activities will be held to get the students excited about reading (see a detailed list of those events below). We are most excited about having you and your family join us Monday night for our Reading Roundup (from 5:30-7:30) and on Friday morning from 9-9:30 for our Parents and Pastries. At the Reading Roundup you can come purchase dinner and bid on books at our auction. The auction is currently live on Facebook and will be open until the end of our Parents and Pastries. The money that is raised for this fundraiser will be used to increase books in our leveled library (which teachers use with their reading groups) and technology programs to enhance student learning.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our Reading Round-Up & our Parents & Pastries! All my best,
Principal Balli

Box Tops
Thank you to all who have helped so far this school year with our box tops collections - both the physical clips that go to the school and the electronic scanning of receipts. Between the two, we have earned $484.90 for the 2019-2020 school year (as of 2/5/20).
Another deadline for submitting physical Box Tops clips is coming up! Please send all box tops to school by Monday February 24th. (If the expiration date is March 1st, make sure to not hang onto them at home any longer! For the box tops that are expired, just throw them away.)
Remember, that you have 14 days from the day of purchase to scan your receipt to earn digital Box Tops credit. If you are not sure if you bought any items that have Box Tops -- scan your receipt anyway and it will tell you whether or not you had any earnings.
Have you ordered something & not received it?
