Buddhism
Buddha, which means "the awakened one" was once a living person. Gautama Buddha lived and taught in the eastern part of India. He taught people his philosophies and his advice.
Christianity
A monotheistic religion that is based on the life and teachings of the mašíah. Majority of Christians believe that Jesus is the son of god.
Hinduism
The common religion of India, based upon the religion of the original Aryan settlers as expounded and evolved in the Vedas, the Upanishads, theBhagavad-Gita, etc., having an extremely diversified character with many schools of philosophy and theology
Islam
- The religious faith of Muslims, based on the wordsand religious system founded by the prophetMuhammad and taught by the Koran, the basicprinciple of which is absolute submission to a uniqueand personal god, Allah.
Judaism
The monotheistic religion of the Jews, having itsethical, ceremonial, and legal foundation in theprecepts of the Old Testament and in the teachingsand commentaries of the rabbis as found chiefly inthe Talmud.
