BECS Families:

We have one week left of school before there is a break from November 2-6. Learning Cycle 3 will begin on Monday, November 9. There are several events upcoming in the next month, so please review the newsletter in its entirety and do not hesitate to contact BECS if you have any questions.

Please help support PTO and BECS by participating in the BIG KAHUNA Fundraiser. The details are provided below. Items can be shipped directly to your house!

Thursday, October 29th is $1 Hat Day! Students wear your craziest hats. All funds raised will benefit The Riverdale County Animal Shelter!

BECS students will be allowed to wear costumes to school all day on Friday, October 30. Please make sure to review the 2020 Halloween Costume Guidelines.

BECS will be closed November 2-6 for our Learning Cycle break. This extended period of time will allow our custodial staff to provide the entire building with a deep clean to ensure when students return on November 9th the building will be sanitized and prepared for our third Learning Cycle to begin.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

BECS PTO is asking for your help to carve up some Halloween entertainment! Show off your BOO-tiful works of art during their virtual pumpkin decorating contest running now - Saturday 10/31! There are 3 categories and prizes will be awarded; most traditional, silliest, and most unique, one per category, per grade, and BECS staff is encouraged to join in the fun. Submit your pumpkins by either posting directly on the Bromley East Charter School-PTO Facebook page or email PTO President Elizabeth Strobel - she will then upload the photo to Facebook. When submitting, please include the first name of the student or staff member, and what grade or title of the participant. Contestants with the most amount of 'likes' on Facebook will be presented to the PTO Board and winners will be announced the first week of November!

  • Please remember students should wear appropriate warm layers of clothing to school (including proper footwear, boots/extra socks, hats, gloves, etc).
  • Remember students should bring an extra mask to school.
  • Students will remain outside until the temperature falls below 25 degrees or there is too much precipitation.
  • Regardless of the weather, students should still be dropped off at their assigned location.
  • Questions, please contact Ms. Nichols or Mr. Jacobson, Deans of Students.

Please have your student or students ready for drop off before arriving; jackets on, backpack ready, masks ready. With colder weather coming we anticipate more volume during drop off. We will also enforce curbside exit only from your vehicle. It is a safety issue for students to exit your vehicle towards traffic. We have staff available to help with students exiting vehicles so we please ask that parents do not exit vehicles to assist. Thank you in advance for supporting a safe, timely drop-off.
