CA Update 5-14-16
Home of the Braves
We have a flurry of events coming up. The first is the Mock Car Crash scheduled for this Thursday. Professionals from law enforcement, medical field and court system will be on hand to help us put on a multi-scene re-enactment. Our goal is to make our students think before they act. Next Wednesday night will be our annual Awards Ceremony starting at 7:00 pm. If your child is receiving an award or scholarship, you will get a letter in the mail inviting you to attend. On Friday, May 27 we will have our bi-annual Spring Fling celebration. This is a day where we take time out to allow the students to come together for various activities. We will also distribute yearbooks.
Let's finish strong!
Have a great week,
Your Principal,
Vern Tenney
NHS Ceremony
Chemistry teacher, Adam Stoler, spoke as the NHS Teacher of the Year. Special thanks goes out to advisers Mrs. Gail Kass-Smith and Mrs. Sue Mintel for such a great ceremony.
Mural Club
Mural Club is made up of students who are devoted to leaving their mark with art!. It is an opportunity for students to be creative if they are unable to fit art in their schedule and an additional art opportunity for those who just can’t get enough art. Students are designing murals to be placed throughout the building. Some teachers have asked for the space outside their classrooms to be transformed into impressive student art work. I am so proud of these students - they are doing CA a great service!
