We are excited to welcome everyone to CCHS for the 21-22 school year! Please read through this Howler Hub for important information about Open House on August 5th, and much more. We will begin publishing out Howler Hub each Friday beginning with this publication. The Howler Hub can be accessed through your email (please check your emergency card via MyStudent to make sure your email is accurate), Twitter, Facebook, our Website, or MyLearning. The Howler Hub is for parents and students and is our main form of communication, so please read it each week to stay up-to-date with events!

School Supply Lists & Meet Your Teacher

School Supply Lists for each class will be posted virtually on all Teacher MyLearning/Canvas pages no later than 8/5/21.


Teachers will upload a video introduction of themselves to their MyLearning/Canvas Courses no later than 8/5/21.


If you are purchasing school supplies this weekend, it is always good to get some standard supplies when taking advantage of sales:


  • Pens & Pencils
  • Colored Pencils
  • Notebook Paper
  • Composition Notebooks
  • Spiral Notebooks
  • Glue Sticks
  • A folder for each class
  • 3-ring binders
  • Backpack



If you are a family in need of assistance with school supplies, please simply email Mrs. Garrett and she will assist you. Mrs. Garrett is the Advisor of our ABC program. Our ABC program can get you set up with all of the supplies you will need for school. We also have an ongoing available supply of school items in Student Services on the wall. Any student who is in need of a pen/pencil, folders or composition notebooks can just swing by Student Services and grab what they need, anytime...no questions asked!

Dress Code updates

Please note that the dress code has changed since last year - please read thoroughly for the updates.


Consequences for dress code violations are also included at the bottom of the flyer.

Schedule Changes

To request a schedule change, please CLICK HERE or use the QR code. Schedule changes will be looked at each night, and if the change is made it will be reflected in the student's schedule the next day. We will have QR codes that students can access in lunch to request a schedule change through this mach form as well. Please note the reasons for schedule changes when you open the form.

Refunds

Did you pay fees for a class your child no longer has on their schedule? Not to worry! Simply email our Bookkeeper, Lorraine McKinney, and she will get your reimbursement to you!

Opt in to Weekly Text Message

Don't enjoy listening to my weekly message or checking your voicemail?! You can get my weekly message in under 160 characters to your phone via text. The message will contain a link to our weekly newsletter. All of the information you need, right at your fingertips!

Lockers

Lockers may be purchased online. Locker assignments for lockers that are out in classroom buildings will be ASSIGNED at lunches during the 1st two weeks of the school year on the stage. Students who purchased a PE locker will receive their PE locker assignment during their PE class during the first two weeks of school.

Student Parking

Check out Student Parking page for information regarding student parking and the application process. Student parking cost $40 and requires current driver's license, insurance and registration. All student drivers are required to have a parking pass. Our parking lots are monitored by our Criminal Justice Academy. Students without passes after the 2nd week of school will receive tickets and may be towed if parking without proper documentation. The only parking lot students may park in is the student parking lot by the gym, in their assigned spot.

Student Drop-Off/Pick Up

Expectations for Parents/Guardians:

Parents, as a reminder, please use caution when driving in our traffic circle. The drop-off and pick-up area for students is in front of the front office by the yellow pillars. When using the traffic circle, please only turn from the outer lane. The car loop exit is the 2nd turn upon entering the traffic circle. Please pull all the way forward up to the car in front of you. Please drop your student off and pick them up by the yellow pillars. Electronic device use by drivers in the drop-off lane is not permitted for student safety. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.


Expectations for Students:

Students are not permitted to enter the CCHS campus until 7:00am each morning. At the end of the day, students are only permitted to enter the car loop via the black gates between the Media Center and the Cafeteria. Students are not permitted to enter the car loop from the black gates by Student Parking (this may result in a referral).

Bus Transportation

The Transportation Call Center will be open for the first 5 days of the school year to address parent questions and concerns. Please see the flyers below for information about Bus Transportation for the 21-22 school year! These flyers contain information about how to access your student's bus pass, ridership, bus safety information, bus sanitation and more!

Lunch Information

The USDA has extended free breakfast and lunch for all students for the 21-22 school year. All students are eligible for a free breakfast and lunch each day!


Free & Reduced Lunch

The Free and Reduced Meal Application for the 2021-2022 school year is now available online at www.pascoschoolmeals.com. If you are unsure if you qualify, you can also review the income eligibility guidelines on our website.


MySchool Bucks

School meal accounts can be funded through the MySchoolBucks meal payment service. Just visit MySchoolBucks.com. You also have the option of paying directly in the cafeteria with cash, check, credit or debit. Contactless pay will be available at registers where credit cards are accepted. Students can use contactless cards, or Google Wallet, Android Pay and Apple Pay from their phones.
