Duryea Dolphin Newsletter
January 2021
Dear Duryea Families,
Greetings Duryea Families and Happy New Year! I hope that my letter finds you all doing well. We are so excited to greet everyone back to school and to begin our second semester of learning! Although this past year, brought many challenges, it also allowed for great opportunities. We are so thankful for our Duryea families and the way you have worked with the school by keeping your child's health and safety as one of our top priorities this year. Please continue to monitor your child's health each day by giving him/her the Health Screener and keeping them home if they are showing any symptoms of being sick. Please continue to provide clean masks for your child and remember if they need one they can get it from their teacher or nurse. I also want to thank you for your diligence in ensuring that learning continues by having your student present whether they are Face to Face or Connect.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to the school if you have any questions or concerns. We are here for you and we are all in this together!
Sincerely,
Tomicka Williams, Principal

WORD OF THE MONTH
Responsibility, January 2021
(1) What are some chores that you are responsible for at your house?
(2) What chores are your siblings and parents responsible for?
(3) Do you always do your chores without being asked? What happens if you do not do what you are responsible for

Duryea Parents,
This is the time of the year we speak of BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION and the funds it generates for the school. There are two ways of gathering the Box Tops:
1. Cut them out, put them in a baggie, and send them to the school if your child is face to face. If they are virtual you may drop them off to the front desk.
2. Download the BoxTops app on your phone and follow the directions given. Go to BTFE.com for instructions.
As always thank you for your support in Duryea and our students.
