Back to School!


Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! We are excited to welcome all of our students back to school, virtually and in-person. Challenges and questions abound, but our staff is committed to providing a safe and positive academic experience for all Parr students. We cannot do it alone. Thank you, in advance, for your support, cooperation, and patience.



All Back-to-School events will take place virtually this year. Please see info below for details!


We are working with CCISD Technology to distribute laptops to our 4th and 5th graders before school begins. Devices for students in K-3 are on the way at a later date. Please see below for info about deployment.

Beep and Greet!

We can't wait to see all our Parr Patriots! Come by Parr on Friday, August 21st to Beep and Greet your teachers! All students will be able to drive through at their designated time to see the grade level teachers, pick up PTA school supplies and pick up virtual learning supplies from teachers. 4th and 5th graders will also be able to pick up their CCISD laptops and pay for insurance. You can also pay for insurance online(see below for directions).


Remember to stay in your car at all times. Teachers will not be available to talk, just to wave and say hi. You are invited to roll down your window and greet your teachers! Please wear a face covering if you will be within 6 ft of anyone. This includes the time that a teacher may be handing you supplies or your district device. Teacher assignments will be available in Skyward Friday.


PTA school supplies-if your child is Clear Connections and you would like the supply kit, they will be available at the Beep and Greet. If your child is Brick and Mortar and you would like your supplies, you may pick them up at this time, otherwise, they will be stored in your child's classroom. Brick and Mortar students should only need writing utensils, crayons, markers and paper to support them until they come back to school.

Class Lists-When do I find out who my teacher is?

Class lists will be ready no later than Friday, August 21, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Families can find out a child's teacher at that time via Skyward Family Access and click on the Schedule tab.


As we prioritize safety and student needs throughout this school year, we will need to make various adjustments each nine weeks. This may impact your child’s assigned teacher(s). Grade level teacher teams are in constant communication about all students’ needs in their grade and are prepared to provide students nurturing and effective learning environments

First Day of School

It is right around the corner and the Parr team is ready. The first few days in a traditional school setting are about relationship building and getting to know the rules of the school. This is what students will experience the first couple of days of online school. We will need to train students on technology applications and software, create classroom relationships, and go over academic expectations, etc.


On the first day of school, students should log into the CCISD Single Sign On (SSO) Portal and go to itsLearning. If you have forgotten your password or if you are new to Clear Creek ISD, please visit this website for important information on how to retrieve your password, receive a password, and overall, great answers to your most frequently asked questions.

With devices going home to elementary families, parents will need to consider purchasing insurance through the school district for $20.00 for the year or assume the financial cost if a device is damaged, lost or stolen. Click here for instructions on how to request insurance.


Elementary schools will be deploying student devices on Friday, August 21, 2020 for students in grades 4 and 5. For families who indicated they did not have a personal device at home in grades 1-3, campus staff will contact you to pick up a device.

Curbside Meals

Meal service will be available for virtual learners at their home campus.

Meal service will be available on days classes are in session and students will be able to pick up a breakfast and a lunch at the same time. Students or parents will need to be able to provide proof of enrollment at the time of meal pick up. No meals will be given without proof. You will need the Skyward app on your phone to show proof that your child attends Parr.

Meal service times will be:

Week of August 24th – 28th

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

All Students

Week of August 31st – September 4th

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Available to only students in online learning. Any students that have returned to “Brick and Mortar” school will have meals available through the cafeteria.

Week of September 8th – September 11th

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Available to only students in online learning. Any students that have returned to “Brick and Mortar” school will have meals available through the cafeteria.

The cost of meals will be determined by the eligibility status of each student.

Breakfast:

· Free - $0.00

· Reduced Price - $0.30

· Paid - $1.25(Elementary)/$1.50(Secondary)

Lunch:

· Free - $0.00

· Reduced Price - $0.40

· Paid - $2.35 (Elementary)/$3.50 (Secondary)

20-21 School Supply Lists

Masks

The district is requiring all students to wear face masks while social distancing measures are in place. They will need to cover your child's nose and mouth. We suggest you practice wearing a mask at home for short periods of time to help your child adjust and to make sure they fit appropriately. We recommend labeling your child's mask also. Another good idea is to have 5 masks so they have a clean mask everyday. We will have a limited supply of masks available in case students forget a mask or lose it during the day.

Water Bottles

Please make sure your child has a large, NON-SPILL water bottle that your child can open by themselves. Your child will have the opportunity to refill the bottle during day from the classroom sink or you can send an extra plastic water bottle in their backpack.

Social Distancing

Students will be practicing social distancing throughout the school day. Have your child practice respecting personal boundaries of others and maintaining their own personal space. Have them visualize themselves inside a hula hoop.
