Current Happenings!!

What we are learning!

Over the past couple of weeks we have been learning more about families, homes and community helpers. Thank you for sharing your family photos. We loved seeing all of them and created a beautiful family tree! We have been exploring with shapes and how we can use shapes to create houses. We built a large group shape house, made tall and short houses and even sorted pet homes. Our community helper theme was a favorite! We created fire truck and police car puzzles, sorted community helper items and made a delicious police car treat!

Language Corner- Mrs. Griffith

Last week we learned about families. We talked about members of a family. Look at family photos with your child. Discuss who is in your family using vocabulary your family uses to refer to mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa. Ask your child questions while looking at family photos, such as, “Where is mom/dad?” (have your child point to each family member as you name him or her) or ask, “Who is this?” as you point to each person so your child can name family members.

Apples and Pumpkins

Please send an apple and a small pumpkin with your child next week!

Thank you!
