Stuffed Animal Toy Drive
We would like to thank you for all your generosity in the stuffed animal toy drive. The donation time frame wrapped up today, Thursday, April 23rd. Your compassion during this drive has been outstanding. Thanks once again.
Reading
Students looked for patterns that often occur in series books. These patterns could be within the plot or the way a character behaves. These patterns help us to make accurate and thoughtful predictions and gain a deeper understanding of the author's message.
Writing
Students have hugely enjoyed our poetry writing. I have been amazed and awed at the beautiful thoughts and words they have used throughout the weeks and am looking forward to sharing them with you. We will conclude our unit this week, publishing our poems and bind them into individual booklets.
Forces and Motion
Our field trip to the Qatar Bowling Center was a huge success. Students bowled 1 1/2 games, mostly with a bumper. This gave them the opportunity to observe the effect of friction on a bowling ball. Our unit will end this week.
Geometry and Fractions
Students are choosing fun learning games and activities to help deepen their understanding of time, fractions and 2D and 3D shapes by applying them in real-life activities. Our IXL program provides additional practice in sections T, U and Q.
