Details for parents about the concert next week:

Carols and Cookies is coming up this Thursday, December 12th at 6pm.

  • The entire school will be having a dress rehearsal immediately after Morning Meeting, so please make sure your child is present Thursday morning.

  • The dress code for the concert is dressy holiday attire. Students will be assembling in their classrooms before the concert.

  • Please make sure your child has arrived and is in the classroom no later than 5:45.

We need your help- Bake cookies for Thursday and work off some of your parent commitment hours for the year!

Calling all bakers- signup here to bake cookies.

We will need hundreds of cookies... can you bake a few dozen for us? We also need a few volunteers willing to help setup the tables in the hallway, and assist guests as they purchase their cookies. Thank you in advance for your help!

Do you play basketball? We need a coach!

Can you share your love and knowledge of the game with eager 4th through 8th graders? We need YOU!

SMS 4th through 8th graders are looking for a basketball coach. We have one parent who can help out, but we are in need of another adult, male or female, to assist 2 days per week.

The plan is to practice here in Rand Hall on Monday or Tuesday and then practice in the gym at Camp Spofford. All home games will be held at Spofford on Thursdays. If you can help make this happen for our students, they would be very grateful.

Mass Collections are coming up next weekend and we still need some volunteers. Click the button to signup below.

  • Next Saturday, December 14th at the 4:00- 5:00pm Mass, we still need 4 students to assist with collections.

  • Sunday morning, December 15th at the 8-9am mass, we also need one student to help with collections.

We have received lots of wonderful feedback from the parish about having our students present so thank you!

We need 12 student volunteers every month to help with collections at each of the three masses. Please look at the time slots and see if you can help out in the months ahead.

Parent Volunteers Needed

  • Our uniform closet could use some love. We received several donations of uniforms recently in bags that need to get hung up in the right spot. Can you spare a half hour or more to simple hang some clothing?

  • If you plan to drive or chaperone for Winter Sports, please check in with the office to make sure you are all set. This process can take a few weeks.

Breakfast is $2.50 and Lunch is $3.75

Check out all of these delicious breakfast and lunch options for the month!

If you would like your child to have breakfast, please make sure they order it the day beforehand. This will allow us time to bake or prepare meals that are ready to go the next day.

After School Meal Program

Attached, please find the After School Meal Program (AMP) menu for the month.

If you are unfamiliar with "AMP" this is a free meal program, sponsored by the state, and available to all students who stay after school for any reason. If your child is staying for aftercare, sports, drama, tutoring etc. they are welcome to order AMP in the morning and eat in the afternoon FOR FREE. Paper copies are available in the office if you would like a menu for home.

Community Events and Information

Piano and organ lessons now available

Hi! I'm Breton Abbondanzio, the music teacher at Saint Michael School and Music director for the parish. I'm pleased to offer private lessons in vocals, piano and organ to interested families. I teach all ages and levels, and some of my students have won prizes in the ATAM Music Competition in Newton, MA. Lessons are a half hour in duration and my fee is reasonable and competitive.
