The Raider Review
Avery Trace Middle School - Home of the Raiders
Head of School - Principal Message
As the weather starts to get colder, please make sure your child dresses for the weather. As long as it is 32 degrees or above and not raining, students will have outdoor recess. This month's MYP Trait is inquirer. As inquirers, students nurture their curiosity, develop skills for inquiry, and research. Curiosity helps students learn with enthusiasm and develop a love for learning throughout life. Encourage your child to be an inquirer. Be sure to read Mr. King's Weekly Wrap-up and have a great weekend.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The second annual ATMS Pickle Club’s Upper Cumberland Pickle Festival is going to be an even BIGGER dill than before! Last year we saw over 3,000 pickle people attend, and this year we hope to see MORE! MORE pickle food trucks, MORE pickle vendors, pickle snow cones, pickle music, PickleBall Tournament with cash prizes for winners, pickle merchandise, pickle art, pickle games, pickle prizes, pickle brine drinking competition, pickle tasting, Pickle the GOAT (ATMS Pickle Club mascot) meet and greet, surprise pickle guests, pickles, pickles, pickles, pickles, pickles, MORE pickles, and much much more pickle fun. Once again, this event will be ALL PICKLE EVERYTHING. Last year we raised around $12,000, and we intend to finish what we started, so all proceeds of the Festival will go towards the much needed upgrades of the Avery Trace Middle School sports fields.

ATMS requests a school fee of $20 per student. This money goes into the general fund account to help pay for copiers, general needs of the school, and school supply needs that arise throughout the school year. It takes a lot of money to run a school and provide the items we do for your children. Fees can be turned in to your student’s classroom teacher. We appreciate your support and everything you do for ATMS
