Tamanend Enters the Macy's A Cappella Video Challenge
Our Tamanend A Cappella Competition Group has entered the Macy’s A Cappella Video Challenge 2015. They were featured in the Doylestown Patch and have received thousands of views already. Be sure the play their video above. (Warning, you’ll be singing the song for the rest of the day!) We thank Mr. Sanchez for bringing this opportunity to our students; and, kudos to Ben C. who did a great job on videography. Best wishes to our singers!
World Language Culture Fest
Last week, all world language students learned about festivals and traditions from Spain and France through readings and video clips. On Friday, Spanish and French students went outside to re-enact the Running of the Bulls, Castells (human towers), the Waiter’s Race, and the Tour de France. The students enjoyed experiencing the fun and excitement of these challenging and interesting events!

2015 Miles for Music Trick or Trot 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk
We need your help! The Tamanend music teachers have chosen to participate in this 1 Mile Run/Walk or 5K race to raise money for the Find Your Instrument program. This organization provides music instruction to underserved elementary students in the Philadelphia area. We can’t think of a better way to help raise money than with a healthy race. The amount of money we receive to donate will be based on the number of 1 Miler and 5K registrants on our team - so the more students, parents, and teachers registered for race day – the greater the contribution we will be able to make to the Find Your Instrument! Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed
Parents of middle schoolers often ask how they can get involved. Some parents say that their child does not want them to get involved. At Tamanend, there are many special things that go on throughout the school year that would not be possible without the involvement and support of our parents. Please get involved.
Volunteers must have their clearances on file with the CBSD Human Resources Department prior to starting volunteer work. The new Pennsylvania State mandate does allow until July 1, 2016 to obtain background checks. However, in the best interest of the safety and security of our students, we are asking volunteers to comply with submitting background checks prior to volunteering in the 2015-2016 school year.
Volunteers may drop off required paperwork at the Administration Center at 20 Welden Drive.
CB High School Football Game Attendance
Due to student safety and stadium operational concerns, students who are in 7th or 8th grades (or younger) will not be admitted to C.B. High Schools' football games without a parent/guardian attending the game with them. All students must have a current or prior year ID card with them to determine their name, grade and school.
