Frequently Asked Questions of the LMS Office
- Send your child to school with a note stating the time you need to pick them up.
- Your child will then give it to Mrs. Pallett first thing in the morning.
- Mrs. Pallet will write them a pass for the time you requested.
- Your child will be waiting in the office to be picked up at the requested time.
What if I need to drop off something to my student at school?
- Buzz into the front door by the office.
- Place your child's item on the table by the office door.
- Write your child's name on the sheet of paper and pen provided near the drop off table.
- Your child will need to check the drop off table in between passing times or at lunch.
- There is no need to inform the office staff.
What if I want to change my child's mode of transportation for the afternoon?
- It is requested that transportation remain consistent as it creates confusion for the student if this is not determined when they leave for school in the morning.
- We understand that life happens, and when it does, please, call prior to 11:00 am, if at all possible, so information can be delivered during lunchtimes.
My family is going out of town for an extended period of time. What do I do?
- Have your child obtain an approved absence form from the office a minimum of 5 days in advance.
- Fill out the requested information.
- Have your child get the necessary information from their teachers.
- Return to the office when complete.
- Note: pre-approved does not mean excused. Family trips during days in which school is in session will be considered unexcused.
Ultimately, we want to limit as many classroom interruptions as much as possible so learning can take place. In addition to that, it is important for middle school students to become more self-reliant and independent. Mrs. Archer and Mrs. Pallett are given the arduous task of assisting all students and family members of following these procedures so I am asking that all Lakeshore families do everything in their power to adhere to LMS policies and practices. Thank you in advance.

Friday Night Lights
- Students limit their movement in and out of the student section. Treks to the concession stand or restroom should take place in between quarters and halftime.
- Halftime is a great opportunity to listen to our State Championship Band Program. Students will be asked to lower their voices or go elsewhere during this time out of respect for the band students and their hard work.
- When we arrive the LMS student section is spotless and we need to do our best to leave it in the same fashion. Please, encourage your student to pick up after themselves before they leave.
It is always encouraged that if a middle school student attends a game they should sit in the bleachers. This is the only area where Ms. Arend and Mr. Swegles can observe what is taking place.
