We Are St. Ann School
9/3/2015 Parent & Student News By: Bonnie Hall, Principal
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
As we thank our Lord for the blessings of our work and pray for those who seek work to find employment, we celebrate our Nation's workforce. Here's to "our" holiday on Monday.
You'll note that we are also off this Friday, September 4th. This day, the Friday before Labor Day, is traditionally always off for St. Ann School. We build it into our calendar and is a favorite for families, our teachers, and yes, your proud principal!
I wish you a rest-filled day filled with the scents of a tasty barbecue, a nice long snooze, a day to visit with relatives, or catch up with something you'd like to do. However, I know several of our parents will find themselves at work on this Labor Day. I salute you for always going above and beyond for your children including giving them a Catholic education.
Thank you!
Meanwhile, we'll just keep having Freezepop Action Days and do our best to keep the "coolest" students ever cool while they're in school!
Prayers...
- For safe travels for everyone during the Labor Day weekend

Safety First
We have had a few fire drills to date and on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd we had our first lock-dock drill. We will continue our safety drills periodically. I'm very proud of all of our students during these safety exercises.
The Evolution of our Science Program
Each student will be assessed by the teachers rather than a panel of outside judges. Those students who receive a B+ or higher will be invited to continue to represent St. Ann School at the area science fair (and may go on to compete in other regional/state fairs.) Extra credit for students' efforts will be offered as well as "coaching"/further guidance by our science teachers.
Look for more grade specific information to go home from Ms. Roskos and Mrs. Manske in the near future.
